SURFSIDE BEACH | Dorothy Marie ''Mickey'' Barrett Dant, age 79, of Ashton Glenn Dr., died Thursday, Mar. 24, 2005 at her daughter's home after a nine month illness.



Mickey was born July 19, 1925 in Washinton, D.C., the daughter of the late Jessie and Janie Barrett. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph William Dant of five years and Thomas Walter Knott of 26 years. She was a wonderful, caring, and loving mother who will be missed. Homemaker and member of the Episcopal Church of The Resurrection.



Surviving her are five sons, Thomas Knott of St. Mary's, Md., Robert Knott of Callahan, Fla., James Knott of Apollo Beach, Fla., John Knott of Jacksonville, Fla., Charles Knott of St. Mary's, Md., one daughter, Debra Meyers of Surfside Beach; two sisters, Aggie Gray of Fla., Mae Thompson of N.C.; 21 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.



Visitation will be at Lee Funeral Home in Clinton, Md. on Monday, Mar. 28, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service and prayer will be on Tuesday, Mar. 29 at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
