I am so saddened to hear of his and Dalton's passing. I taught Dalton many years ago (4th and 5th grade!) and was thinking about him. I contacted someone that worked with me and that is how I found out about this tragic loss of life.
Dalton kept me laughing and was one of the sweetest students I had the pleasure of knowing.
I will always remember him and hope his family continues to remember these men and smile.

Uncle Douglas it's hard for me to write this message. From the time I was born until now you have always been there. Whenever I visited New Orleans after leaving there you would make sure you saw me and my family. I remember at the family reunion you shared your crawfish with me lol You was always positive and full of life and light and knew GOD. It hurts us that you are no longer here but GOD wanted you back as you had ran your race we don't understand all that happened but we will understand by and by. I know you are looking down on us please tell my dad and the rest of the family hi until we see each other again. Love you Uncle Douglas R.I.H.

I was so sorry to hear about Douglas and his son's passing. I grew up with Douglas and his sisters and brothers back in Gert Town. I saw him last year when I was home and attended Pastor Hardy's anniversary at Little Zion BC when I was home. He passed by to say and few words and drop off a love offering. Praying for his family to feel the Peace and Comfort of God's arms as He wraps them around all of you.
