After a prolonged battle with cancer, E. Bryan Guillory died on February 23, 2015 in Metairie, LA at age 47. He leaves behind his life partner of 18 years, Wendy Kiff, his daughter Kristen Guillory Wiley, and her husband Thomas Wiley, Grandson Damien Wiley, and son Phillip Guillory. Bryan was born April 1, 1967 in Opelousas, LA to the late Joseph Emery Guillory and his mother Emmalene Guillory Mequet. Bryan grew up in a small town with a loving family. He graduated from Opelousas Senior High in 1985. He was an Electronic Technician in the Army National Guard. He became involved in the restaurant business and managed Serio's Deli located downtown New Orleans for the last 25 years. Bryan was driven and a hard worker who never complained. He had a passion for cooking and enjoyed playing golf during his free time. He was loved by all that knew him and it only took a brief encounter to have a lasting impression which made it feel like you knew him for years. Bryan was diagnosed with cancer in 2011; he remained dedicated to his job, family and friends. He always thought of others even during his fight with his illness. Regardless the outcome of his cancer he never complained, remained strong, positive, had incredible determination, strong will, and courage even throughout the final months and days. Bryan is survived by his life partner, children, mother, step father Douglas Mequet, his sister Mona Richard Boseley and her sons Bryan's Godchildren Hunter Richard and Heath Richard; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father. Losing life to cancer isn't a defeat; it's the beginning of a new life. There will be a Celebration of Life in Honor of Bryan at Serio's Deli on Saturday March 7, 2015 at 5:00pm - 9:00pm located downtown New Orleans at 133 St. Charles Avenue.
