Edward Xavier Hill

Edward Xavier Hill, 61, departed this earthly life peacefully at his residence on Sunday October 13, 2024, with his loving family by his side. He was a native of Marrero, LA and a lifelong resident of Bridge City, LA. "Sugar Hill", as he was affectionately known by family and friends was educated in the Jefferson Parish School System. Loving son of the late John Hill, Sr. and Ida Mae Mitchell Hill. Grandson of the late Xavier Mitchell and Amelia Coleman Mitchell. Devoted brother of Horace (Ina) Gallagher, Walter (Carol) Hill, John (Veronica) Hill, Kenneth (Emma) Hill, Sr., Jeffery (Sylvia) Hill, Sr., Amelia Jackson Thomas, Eleanor Hill, Tenika (Marious) Whittington, and the late Gregory Hill. Devoted uncle of Kim Gallagher Philip. Lifelong friend of Rosemary Peterson, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Third Emanuel Baptist Church, and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Third Emanuel Baptist Church 187 Third Emanuel St. Bridge City, LA on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. Pastor Joseph C.
