Edward C. Lentz Jr. was born In and raised in Uptown New Orleans, LA and was a resident of Terrytown, LA for the last 42 years, went to be with his heavenly father on Monday, February 7, 2022. He is the beloved husband of Mignon B. Lentz for 49 years. He is the proud father of Edward M. Lentz and Eric Lentz. Grandfather "PaPa" of Sara Lentz Tilghman, Edward M. Lentz Jr., Ethan Lentz and Emily Lentz. Great Grandfather to Lilly and Elliot Tighman. Godfather of Shyra Loomis and Angel Butler. A grandfather figure to Cole Stephen whose deceased grandfather was Eddie's best friend. He was born September 9, 1942 and attended St. Henrys School, was a longshoreman for 27 years and a licensed Barber for the last 60 years. For the last 25 years he worked at Algie Hailey Barbershop in Metairie serving many longtime customers. He was an avid sportsmen and gun collector and a member of the St. Bernard Pistol and Rifle Range for over 40 years. Eddie was known for his straight forward demeanor and his story telling. If Eddie considered you a friend there isn't much he would not do for you but you didn't want to be on his bad side. He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Lentz and loving mother Helen Biondo Lentz. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 3 pm.
