Edward ""Mac'' Maurice McDevitt, age 89, died peacefully on Monday, August 14, 2006. A native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Slidell, LA for 3 years. Beloved husband for 70 years of Adele Ingolia McDevitt. Brother-in-law of Cecelia I. Roesch and the late Ethel I. Dieck. Dearest uncle of Lloyd and Teenie Roesch, Lloydel Roesch, Christy Roesch and Kirk Steen, Andy and Debby Roesch, Harold Dieck, and Edward and Nancy Dieck. Brother of Adolph Strada. Mr. McDevitt was a retired foreman of Boh Bros., a World War II Navy Veteran, and an avid fisherman. Relatives, friends of the family, also employees of Boh Bros., Azalea Estates, and members of the Louisiana LST Association are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., Metairie, LA on Thursday, August 17, 2006 at 11:00 am. Visitation on Thursday, August 17, 2006 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. McDevitt,

I am the audiologist who helped Mr. McDevitt with his hearing. I am so sorry to hear of his death. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I live in Houston, Texas after Katrina and will miss seeing you in the office.
