Eileen Smith

Eileen Smith passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, in the loving presence of her family. Eileen was 77 years old. Eileen was born in Colchester, England and was a long-time resident of Metairie, LA. She worked for many years at the Radisson New Orleans Airport Hotel in Kenner, LA before retiring. She was a strong woman who will be remembered for her compassion, kindness, love for her grandchildren and the love for her dog Pippin. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her daughter, Deborah (Terence) Chopin of Jefferson, LA and her adored granddaughters Emily Nicole Chopin and Sarah Kate Chopin. She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Terrance Clinton Smith, Jr., of Metairie, LA, her parents, Kathleen Nora Emma James and Cyril James of Colchester, England and her brother, David John James of Colchester, England. Her family's greatest comfort is knowing that they are all now reunited. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA on Monday, June 20, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service which will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow immediately after in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
