Elizabeth R. Sapelli

Elizabeth R. (Peris) Sapelli, 94, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2018, surrounded by her loving daughter Ann and her caretakers. Born in Springfield to the late Carlo & Carmela (Biscaldi) Peris, Elizabeth worked as a bookkeeper for Buxton Leather Goods for many years. She leaves her daughter Ann Sapelli of East Longmeadow, sister-in-law Julia Sapelli of Agawam, Godson John Sapelli of West Springfield and Goddaughter Joane Marcelina Radner of Westwood, MA. Sadly, Elizabeth was predeceased by her loving husband Appio “Hap” Sapelli, her daughter Caroline Sapelli, her sister Rita & husband Fred Marcelina, brothers-in-law Carlo & Eugenio Sapelli, and brother-in-law William Raschi. Ann would like to thank Spectrum Hospice, Nicole Paquette, Shameka Lockett, Judeen Thompson, LaShawnda Lockett, Angie, Netta, Amanda, Marcia Oliver, Stephanie Cady, Lisa James and the team at Governor’s Place for the wonderful care they gave to Elizabeth. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 3, at 9AM, at Tazzini Funeral Home, 22 Locust St., Springfield, followed by a Funeral Mass at Mt. Carmel Church at 10AM. Burial will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 5-7PM at Tazzini Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Agawam Meals on Wheels or to a charity of your choice.
