Elizabeth C. Zimmerman

Elizabeth C. Zimmerman entered into eternal rest at Wynhoven Healthcare Center on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the age of 89. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Devoted mother of Gail Russell-Wyre, Lisa Russell, Eric Zimmerman, Stanley Zimmerman, Jeffery Zimmerman, Monica Zimmerman, Greta Zimmerman and the late Linus Zimmerman, and Darryl Russell. Daughter of the late Ulysses and Leonetta Russell. Sister of Ulysses Russell, Jr. , also survived by 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. The family would like to acknowledge a special thank you to Wynhoven Healthcare Center and Serenity Hospice. Relatives and friends of the family, also priest and parishioners of St Jude Catholic Church are invited to attend the funeral service at Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin 9:00 a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
