Dear Family, I was saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Ellen, a wonderful and find person. She was always thinking of others and send me a very kind note when my mother died recently. Ellen's passing certainly reminds me of how short life can be but her memory will be forever.

I am so sorry to hear of Ellen's passing. We grew up together in New Orleans and I had reconnected with her over the past year. We were trying to see each other when she would be able to visit her grandson. My deepest sympathy to all the family. She will be missed.

I was shocked to learn of Ellen's passing. We communicated from time to time and we had just started doing more digging into our genealogy together with the help of Ellen Cleary. So much seems unfinished with her passing so suddenly. Ellen was the keeper of family knowledge and stories. She was the communicator that let me know when things were going on that were happening in the family. There is a hole now that no one can fill. She was a unique and loving individual always ready to help. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.

We talked a lot at the Fortier Class of 68' reunion, this past March. I am so happy to have spent time with Ellen that evening.
She will be missed.
