Elmeria Forneret Obituary

FORNERET Elmeria Margarite Forneret passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2009. She was born in New Orleans, LA on August 5, 1918. She passed peacefully at Gulf Breeze Hospital in Gulf Breeze, FL of Congestive Heart Failure. She was preceded in death by her parents George Forneret and Martina Forneret. She is the sister of the late Herbert Forneret, George Forneret, and Emelder Saulet. She is survived by a daughter, Lois Foster and two grandchildren: Shanna Foster and Ryan Foster, and a host of nieces: Althea Delahoussaye, Eliane Charbonnet, Barbara St. Julien; nephews: Darrel Saulet, Kerry Saulet, Earl Saulet, Dr. Eric Forneret, the late Rodney Forneret and the late George Forneret Jr.; sister-in-law, Alice Forneret; and many other cousins, family, and friends. Elmeria lived in New Orleans, LA for 86 years before moving to Navarre, FL with her daughter and two grandchildren. In addition to being a homemaker, raising her daughter, grandchildren, and countless family and friend's children, she still found time for life's simplest pleasures. Her joys included cooking, watching soap operas, playing card games, and entertaining family and friends. Relatives, family, and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Services on Monday, June 8, 2009 at 11:00 am at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 7300 Crowder Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70127. Visitation at the Church on Monday from 9:00am until service time. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 4000 Norman Mayer Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70122.
