Elsa Nagy

1937 - 2023

Elsa Kloor Nagy passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday February 8, 2023, at the age of 86. Elsa was born on June 28, 1937 to Leonard A. Kloor and Louise Sirgo Kloor. She graduated from Mount Carmel Academy and received her degree from Loyola University in Elementary Education. She was married on December 30, 1961 to the love of her life, Bela Imre Nagy Sr. and they have three children, Bela Jr. (Lisa), Brian (Leigh), and Elsa Christine. Affectionately known by her grandchildren as Granny, she was a loving grandmother to Allison, Kristina, Caroline, Alex, Max, Jordan (Maria), and Rachel (Trey). Elsa was an outgoing and caring person and had many lifelong friends. She looked forward to getting together with her girlfriends for lunch and celebrating each of their birthdays. Elsa had many talents and hobbies including sewing, cooking, gardening, and crafting. Her faith was important to her as she was a devout member of the Catholic Church. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at St. Dominic Church, 775 Harrison Ave in New Orleans, La on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 11:30 am. The visitation will be held at church beginning at 9:30. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to St. Dominic Church in her memory.
