"Melo" was someone that stood out in the community as a quiet pillar of strength and conviction. He caused a lot of men to stop and look at how they conducted their own lives. Ultimately, that is truly a measure of the effectiveness of a real man, both now and forever. You were all very blessed, God will join you with him again one day.

Our country and our community has lost another truly wonderful person. I had the good fortune to meet and become associated with Mr. Emile through American Legion Post 81 in Gonzales. I always looked forward to our meetings and functions as I knew he would be in attendance with his cheerful personality. You will be missed by the many people you touched throughout your life old friend. May God Bless you and Keep you throughout eternity and may he Bless and Comfort your Family and Loved ones in this time of sorry at your passing.

Melo was one of my favorite mployees when I worked at Freeport's Uncle Sam Plant. He was a kind hearted soul who rarely complained and conducted himself in an exemplary fashion. I am sorry I am out of town and will not be able too attend his services. My deepest condolences to the entire family.
