Emile Joseph Barbarin

1941 - 2021

Emile Joseph Barbarin passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021 in Phoenix, AZ. The son of the late Verna (Tholmer) Barbarin and Emile J. Barbarin. He was born December 29, 1941 in New Orleans, LA. Upon graduating highschool Emile joined the US Marine Corps and served his country in Vietnam. After the war he was transferred from Los Angeles, CA to Phoenix, AZ which he made his home. He retired from Pacific Southwest Airlines after many years of service. He loved his family, traveling, and was the first person to drop everything and help if he was needed. He is survived by his loving wife, Rose, his devoted children Zoltan, Zachary (Shana) and stepchildren. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren, John, Jozlynn, Jaidan, Joseph and Jordan. With much love and affection, he is also remembered by his siblings, Phillis Cueillette (Lawrence), Gail Long (Peter), and Michael C. Barbarin (late wife Mary). He leaves to cherish his memories; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends in New Orleans, California, and Arizona. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a service on July 31, 2021 in New Orleans, LA at Corpus Christi Epiphany Church, 2022 St. Bernard Avenue at 10:00 a.m. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow.
