I met this wonderful lady many years ago when I met my wonderful friend God has blessed me with. Mrs. Emily was always kind, giving, warm, and full of life. She was rooted and grounded in who she was just as my dear friend Ranelle. My prayers are with all of you. I especially hope that you can always remember what a wonderful person, woman, mother, friend she was to all of you. Keep the memories fresh and never forget. God bless and love you all.

God gave me a great woman to call my Mother. She gave me life and shared that life with me and I am very thankful for that. She was my mother, my role model and my best friend. RIP Mom. You are united again with your mom and dad and your wonderful grandson, Brandon. You will forever be missed but never be forgotten. Always in my heart. I love you Mom. Nell

Dear Mrs. Emily,
Your sudden passing has left us all stunned. I wish I would have told you how much I loved and admired you. I've always held you in high regard. Shawn and I have always felt like you and Mr. Herbert were our family, our in-laws. Even though, technically, you weren't. You've always made us feel like we were your family. Thank you for that. We will miss you so much. Tonight, I am very sad for having lost a friend. But when I think of you, in my head, I hear your laugh.
