Emily Smith Obituary

SMITH Emily Reehlmann Smith, 81, passed into eternal life Saturday, April 23, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Earl William Smith 'Smitty" and mother of Karen A. (Greg) Suit, Stephen O. Smith, Suzanne M. Smith and the late Nancy C. Smith. Grandmother of Ted (Melanie) Anthony, Jr., Kenneth E. (Kinler) Gedelian, Liv Smith, Joshua Suit and Samantha Smith. Daughter of the late Emily (Durel) and Anthony Reehlmann and sister of the late Louise Viellion, Jack Reehlmann, William Reehlmann and Anthony Reehlmann. Also survived by four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Emily was a native and long-time resident of New Orleans who lived the past 5 years in Metairie. She retired from the Bank of New Orleans. Relatives and friends are invited to Schoen Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street, on Thursday, April 28. Visitation is 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Mass in the Chapel begins at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canon Hospice (504)818-2723, or the Akula Foundation, P.O. So sorry for the loss of Emily. She was a wonderful person and the best sister in law ever. I will sure miss our lengthy phone conversations because we both enjoyed talking to each other each week. I know she is in heaven now and was so blessed to have had her as part of my life.

Im so sorry. I know your dad, Nan and my mom was waiting for her. I will always remember the fun times we had together when I was young and me, nan and our moms would go for our weekend rides. I was Blessed to have had "Ms Emily"..Nan,and all of your family in my life. You are all in my prayers.
