Emma Thompson

1935 - 2022

Emma Thompson, affectionately known as "BeeBee", departed this life on November 2, 2022, aged 87 years. She was born on November 20, 1935, to Rogers Jackson Sr. and Lee Elder Williams, both of whom preceded her in death; she was also predeceased by two of her brothers–Joseph Jackson Sr. and Rogers Jackson Jr. She was the beloved wife of the late Perry Thompson, known to many as L.J. Emma leaves to cherish her memories, her son–Perry Michael; daughter–Lori Thompson; grandson–Darrell Samuels Jr.; brother–Henry Jackson Jr.; sister–Elizabeth Baldwin; godchildren–Troylynn Baldwin and Kercheta Jackson; and other relatives and friends. Family and friends are invited to the funeral on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Mount Pilgrim Fourth Baptist Church, 429 Newton Street, New Orleans, LA 70114, at 10:00 AM. The Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Pastor Larry P. Steib will officiate. The Interment will follow at McDonoghville Cemetery, 520 Hancock Street, Gretna, Louisiana 70053.
