Enrico Russo

Enrico Anthony Russo "Ricky" was born on June 29, 1968 and passed away at his home on Thursday, October 13, 2022. Ricky was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He attended Saint Pius Grammar School, Christian Brothers Middle School and graduated from Saint Stanislaus Catholic High School. He attended Louisiana State University and Southeastern University. He served in the United States Navy subsequently becoming a landscape designer and a licensed plumber working for Bremermann Mechanical. As a charter member of the Italian American Marching Club and the Italian American Saint Joseph Society, he participated in the yearly parades and all club functions. He loved his family, his friends and his job. He enjoyed creating beautiful gardens, spending time with his family and playing with his grandchildren. Ricky is preceded in death by his older brother, Vince "Rocky" Anthony Russo, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Russo, Ms. Vivian Canik, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Nuss, and his aunt Antionette Russo Dileo and her son Dr. Marcus L. Dileo. Ricky is survived by his father, Judge Anthony Joseph Russo, his mother, Charlotte Canik Russo, and his stepmother Linda Nuss Russo. He is also survived by his former wife, Carissa Mosbey and their two children, Lindsay and Taylor Russo (London), three grandchildren, Adriana, Vivienne, and Simone Russo, his fiancé, JoAnn Collins and her children, Rebecca and Kyle Collins, his sister, Holly Ann Javier and her children, Logan Javier and Brooke Javier his Godchild, his uncles Claude Maraldo and John Schrader, his aunts, Katherine Maraldo, Edith Schrader, and Sharon Ruppert, his cousins Dante Maraldo (Monique) and David Maraldo (Misti), Gina Dileo and Vincent L. Dileo, DDS, and Jonathan Ruppert (Mary). Ricky is also survived by and will be greatly missed by all his nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and co-workers. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70119. Immediately followed by a Catholic Mass in the J. Garic Schoen Chapel. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery 5190 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124.
