Ernest "Polly" Coco Jr.

1940 - 2024

Ernest Coco, Jr. (Polly), a retired laborer, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2024, at the age of 83. He was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Known for his kindness and generosity, his memory will always be cherished. Ernest is survived by his sons: Sean (Ikeda) and Nicholas (Thomaya) Coco, grandchildren: Seyan Coco, Nicholas Coco, II, and Nicholas Coco, Jr.; siblings: Elsie Coco Finley (late Clinton), Ivory (Janette) Coco, and Bernadine Coco; and aunt Annette Larks. Also survived by a host of family and friends. Ernest was preceded in death by his spouse, Norma Batiste Coco; son Christopher Coco; parents Ernest and Marie Victor Coco; and sister Senobia Coco Fielder. Family and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 8321 Burthe Street, New Orleans, LA for 10:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Rev.
