Frank "Brother" James Collins, was summoned by God on Tuesday, December 8, 2015. He was a native of Liberty, MS, and a lifelong resident of Avondale, LA, for 45 years. Devoted and loving husband of 50 years to Doris Collins. Beloved father of Germaine Collins (Kenneth), Roberts, Darlene Collins (Albert) Hills, and Tasha Collins (Anthony) Smith. Son of the late Esco and Elnora Cannon Collins. Brother of William (Yvonne) Collins, Sr. of Cresthill, IL., Edell Collins, Sr. and Vernell Collins, Sr. of New Orleans, La., Elizabeth Collins and Evelyn Collins Webb of Liberty, MS., Linda Collins (Dwayne) Toney of Stone Mountain, GA., Shirley Collins (Levoice) Weary of Breaux Bridge, LA., Eula (Melvin) Jackson of Liberty, MS. and the late Leroy Collins, Sr., Esco Collins, Jr., and Carolyn Collins Tobias. Godfather of Sheila Georges of San Diego, CA. and Dawnis Diggs of Gretna, LA., also survived by 8 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Greater Mt. Calvary Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Greater Mt. Calvary Church, 1600 Westwood Dr., Marrero, LA, on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Terry Gullage, Sr. officiating.
