Frank Mills Obituary

MILLS Frank Mills, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2008. He was 82. He was retired from the US Army after 24 years, having served in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. Mr. Mills was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Charlotte Jenkins Mills, as well as his parents, Hosea Wright and Frank Mills Sr. He is survived by his children: Franczella M. Williams, Frank Mills III, Kenneth L. Mills, Sr., Carl A. Mills, Charlene D. Mills, and Kim M. Johnson, as well as one brother, Joseph Richardson, and two sisters: Daphne Kirkland and Verdie Wilson. He was also survived by 17 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, and particularly the US Army, City of New Orleans Department of Public Works, Louisiana Department of Vital Records, New Orleans Public Schools, and Tulane Hospital are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 2:30 PM at Schoen Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St. Visitation will begin at 1:30 PM. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery & Mausoleum, 4000 Norman Mayer Ave.\ An online memorial is available at www.MeM.com.
