Frank L Sparks, Sr., age 80, entered eternal rest on Monday, January 22, 2024, was born on January 1, 1944, in New Orleans, LA. Frank accepted Christ at an early age. He attended St Augustine High School where he lettered in track and field. Frank was employed by the State of LA for many years as an Orthopedic Technician. Frank was a former member of the Zulu Social Aid and Pleasure Club and was a member of the Walking Worriers. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Henry "Lucky" and Dorothy Sparks; 3 brothers, Henry, Edward "Cool Pop" and Matthew Sparks and 1 sister, Gwendolyn Sparks. He leaves to cherish his memories his son, Frank Sparks, Jr.; 1 sister, Marjorie "Sue" Sparks; 1 brother, David (Valerie) Sparks; 1 sister-in-law, Sharon Sparks; longtime companion, Thelma Cowart and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Celebration of Life Service on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, 10:00AM at Professional Funeral Services, Inc., 1449 N. Claiborne Ave., NOLA.
