Fred Wright Obituary

Mr. Fred Milton Wright, Belle Maison Nursing Home, Ponchatoula, LA, August 3, 2005. Age 85 years. Native of Norco, LA, and a resident of Springfield, LA. Mr. Wright was a retired educator with Livingston Parish Schol System having taught Math & Science in the Springfield schools He was a US Army veteran of World War II. He participated in the invasion of North Africa and then served in Tunisia. He received medals for the American Theatre, Bronze Star, and the Combat Infantry Badge. Survivors: Wife of 59 years, Lenny Picou Wright, Springfield, LA. Son Patrick Wright, Springfield, LA. Daughter Susan Wright Mayl, Kenner, LA. 5 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. Brother George Wright, Jr., Metairie, LA. Preceded in death by parents George and Edna Farry Wright. Son Tim Wright. Visitation: Geisler Funeral Home of Ponchatoula on Thursday, August 4, 2005 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm and on Friday after 8:30 am until 9:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Springfield, LA. Interment: Maurepas Cemetery. Geisler Funeral Home in Ponchatoula in charge of arrangements.

It is with sadness that we read of Fred's death. Jo Ann & knew you folks while at First Baptist Springfield in the 1965-1969 time period. I was granny Wright's pastor. May God bless you.
