Gabriel M. Cathey

Gabriel M. Cathey, age 53, departed this life on July 10, 2024, in Metairie, LA. He was born to the union of Ann Zeno Cathey and B. B. Cathey. He was a graduate of Marion Abramson High School and attended Southern University and University of Phoenix. Gabriel served his country in the U.S. Army for many years. He was a member of the VFW Hall Post 3267. He leaves to cherish his memories the Cathey, Zeno, and Parker family, a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives, friends, Pastor, officers, members of the Franklin Avenue Baptist Church, VFW Hall, Post 3267, Veterans Hospital and the Lift Transportation Service are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at The Boyd Family Funeral Home, 5001 Chef Menteur Highway, New Orleans, LA for 10:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Pastor Johnell Thomas officiating.
