Gary Michael DeGrange

Gary Michael DeGrange, age 66 was born on January 29, 1955 in New Orleans, LA entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 21, 2021, in Sugar Land, Texas. He was a graduate of St. Augustine High School in New Orleans class of 73, Xavier University of Louisiana class of 77, and Tulane University (MBA) in 1978. Gary began his professional career at Arthur Andersen in 1978. He continued his career at North Central Oil Corporation, Legend Natural Gas, LLC, and Trinity River Energy, LLC from which he retired in December 2019. Gary was known for his commitment to education and family. He enjoyed hosting family and friends in his home. He liked his fast cars, Saints and Texans football, playing slots, puzzles, golf, his dogs, cooking brisket and prime rib, and giving advice to family, friends and colleagues. Gary is survived by Kathleen (Kathy) Keyes DeGrange his wife of 42 years. He was the beloved son of the late George Leon DeGrange, Jr. and Mathilda Dellande DeGrange. Gary was one of fourteen children. He was the brother of Karen DeGrange Watkins, George Leon DeGrange, III, Drake DeGrange, MD (Lucinda), Jane DeGrange Green (Julius), Floyd DeGrange, Nina DeGrange Robertson, Dianna DeGrange LeBan (Levon), Marianne DeGrange, Suzette DeGrange, Wayne DeGrange (Aletra), Wendell DeGrange (Erique) and Christie DeGrange Detiege, MD (Jacque). Brother-in-law of Louis B. Keyes (Lisa), and Lynne Keyes Raphael. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and close friends. Preceded in death by his brother Kurt Patrick DeGrange; his grandparents Albert and Arthemese Deruise Leon Dellande and George Sr. and Norma Warnick DeGrange; his in-laws Elliott J. Keyes, and his wife, Helen Bartholomew Keyes, Barbara Keyes Hanson and Elliott J Keyes, Jr. Relatives and friends are invited to join us at the Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at The Settegast-Kopf Company @ Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Fwy, Sugar Land, TX 77478.
