Gaynell Louque Bloomer, 71, passed away unexpectedly at her home on August 29, 2023. Gaynell, affectionately called "Gay" by her family and friends, was born on January 12, 1952 to Elizabeth Dendinger Tucker and the late Gaynard Louque in New Orleans, LA. Gaynell grew up alongside her younger "Irish Twin" sister, Dianne, in a loving home filled with 5 rowdy cousins, 3 watchful aunts, 1 loving mother, and 2 adoring grandparents "MawMaw & Poppa Dendinger", we could all be so lucky. Gaynell studied at the University of New Orleans and began her career at South Central Bell where she climbed the corporate ladder for over two decades before finishing her impressive career in telecommunications as an administrative leader for Cox Communications. She was a fierce advocate for her team members while insisting on their commitment to excellence. Those who were fortunate enough to work alongside her called her "Bloomer." So if you are thinking someone called "Gay Bloomer" must be a damn good time, you'd be right. She was the life of every party. She told the very best stories. She loved to raise a glass and make a toast. She danced, she sang, she talked too loudly and told jokes that she should not especially in front of her mother. Yes indeed, she spoke her mind and lived her life to the fullest, in a way that most wouldn't have the balls to (her word, not mine). She lived a life that we will all remember. Especially her devoted mother Elizabeth Tucker, her loving sister and brother-in-law Dianne & Donald Taylor, and baby sister Mary Tucker.
