George Clarence Brown Jr.

George Clarence Brown, Jr., entered eternal rest on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the age of 93 at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Home. He was preceded in death by his wife Audery Blunt Brown, his parents George Clarence Brown, Sr. and Ivy Lee Brown, siblings, Arthur Brown, Albert Brown and Wesley Brown. He is survived by his adopted daughter, Linda A. Jackson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren and friends. A graduate of Ross High School, in Crowley Louisiana and INF-USAR Leadership School, where he served in the Armed Forces of the United States for four years, before receiving an Honorable Discharge. Mr. Brown was employed by the United States Postal Service for 29 years. Relatives and friends of the family also Pastors, officers and members of Mount Hermon Baptist Church, St. John Institutional Baptist Church, United States Post Office and Esperanza Academy are invited to attend the Funeral Services on Friday May 24, 2024 for 10:00 a.m. at Mount Hermon Baptist Church, 2153 North Broad Street, New Orleans, La. 70119.
