It is your birthday today my love and I miss you so much .....just like when you were sick...I would love to hear your voice again. It has been six lonely years without you......even though I can feel your presence a lot....just today I found those little opera glasses I have been looking for everywhere sitting right on the table outside of the bathroom where I did not put them and they were not there last nite. Thank you my love for watching over me. I love you so very much ....you are always in my heart and my prayers. Wind beneath your wings ....as you have always been to me ...yours forever June

BILL FREITAS - TO JERRY'S FAMILY - I WORKED ON DECK WITH JERRY IN 1980- UNTIL THE American Queen was put in service.
I was telling a fiend in Iowa about him(on 1/6/2012) and New Orleans and he looked him up -- i was unaware that he had passed on.I will remember him forever -- what a swell guy.
my condolences.

My condolences for your loss. Jerry brought a brighter day with him whenever he walked through the door. I will miss his stories, his laughter, and his insight into the world we occupied. Semper Fi, Jerry. Never forget the bucket on the head in boot camp. RIP, friend.

Mom, I know your heart is broken and mine is too. Jerry was one of a kind! Take comfort in knowing how much he adored you and how much we all adored him. He always had a great story to share and a smile on his face...that's how I will always remember him. Semper Fi, Jerry. It was an honor to have known you. Love you! Angel and Conner

Ms. June:
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. Our "Uncle Jerry" adored you and I feel so blessed that we all share so many wonderful memories from our boat days. Just remember that we will all be together again. Hugs, Missy

Jerry, you will be missed. There was no one like you. Your wit, wisdom and wisecracks were as much a part of the AQ as the equipment you kept running. Welcome to the great steamboat in the sky. This Bud's for you!

Dad I love you with all my heart and you will forever be a part of my life. I am thankful for the time we got to spend together as they are some of the best times in my life. I always enjoyed shooting a game of pool with you and winning...haha...smiles. You have given me more than you will ever know and I am sorry we couldn't have spent even more time together throughout our lives, but the time we had was always enjoyable and memorable and never to be forgotten. Love you forever and always. Dana

June, I know your heart is broken. I didn't know him very well because I am his sister in law and I live in Las Vegas. I didn't get there often enough but I liked him very much and through June I was kept in touch with him and his illness. I mourn for his wife, June and his family. He was a very special person and we will all miss him.
