Gino Gautreaux Obituary

Dr. Gino Gautreaux passed away on November 15, 2014 at the age of 74 years. He is preceded in death by his parents: Louis T. Gautreaux, Sr. and Viola Short Gautreaux, as well as four sisters: Dorothy Lawrence, Ella Mae Cooper, Alma Bolden and Zenobia Brown and three brothers: Louis Gautreaux, Jr., Benjamin Gautreaux and Sereal Gauthreaux. Dr. Gautreaux received a Master's Degree from Loyola University and had a doctoral Degree in Mathematics at the University of Houston. He worked as a teacher in the Orleans Parish School System and as an Assistant Principal at McDonogh #35 High School. He was also a member of the Teachers' Retirement System of Louisiana. He is survived by his sister Viola Joseph, a devoted niece Barbara Journee and two brothers: Rodney Gautreaux and Johnny Howard Gautreaux. Also survived by a sister-in-law (Christine) and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 for 11:00 A.M. at The Boyd Family Funeral Home, 5001 Chef Menteur Hwy, NOLA.
