Glenda Gale Register

REGISTER The angels are rejoicing, on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 God called home one of HIS Faithful servants, Glenda Gale Register. A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, born August 3, 1945 to the union of Horace and Josephine Register, Glenda was reared by her god-parents Edward and Cleo St. Ann. She was an ordained minister with credentials in both League City, Texas and New Orleans, Louisiana; Glenda was also an intercessor and prayer warrior. A graduate of G.W. Carver High School and she attended Southern University of New Orleans. Glenda is a retired US Postal Service Clerk and former employee of Charity Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Josephine Register; her god-parents, Edward and Cleo St. Ann; brother, Horace Register Jr., and daughter, Kathy Lewis. Glenda leaves to cherish her memories four loving and devoted children, Michele and Gregory Brown, Anthony (Caryn) Brown, and Sheryl (Quincy) Broaden; two god-children, Trevell Bartholomew and Glenda Baker; two sisters, Cynthia Harris and Patricia Evans; two brothers, Earl (Jacquelyn) Register and Joseph (Caroline) Register Sr.; ten grandchildren: Quinton and Richard Lewis, Erica Allen-Wilkerson, Alicia Allen, Justin, Shanniece and Kendall Brown, Quincy Jr., Maci and Marc Broaden; 5 great grandchildren, Derrick Kelly, Isaiah Allen, Jaunique Wilkerson, Kayden Kathy and Quinton Jo'von Lewis; former husbands, Manuel L. Brown and Joseph Lewis Harness and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and devoted friends. Relatives and Friends of the family are invited to attend Glenda's Homegoing Celebration at New Hope Baptist Church, 1807 LaSalle St, New Orleans, New Orleans, Saturday, June 29th at 11:00am; Visitation: 10am to 11am.
