Glendora "Gwen" Haten

Glendora "Gwen" Haten, a homemaker, entered peacefully into eternal rest at her residence on Friday, October 28, 2022, at the age of 62. She was a native and resident of Marrero, LA. Gwen, as she was affectionately known to family and friends, was a graduate of L. W. Higgins High School, Cameron College and Eastfield Community College. She was formerly employed in the nursing profession. Beloved mother of Duston Durmall Haten. Loving grandmother of Tre'vion Damarcus Haten, Adara Danyell Haten, and Nya Adora Haten. Daughter of the late Robert Louis Haten and Willie Ann Haten. Beloved sister of Terry, Robert, and Patrick Haten, Dorothy Brown, Minnie Thompson, Sheila Williams, and Michelle Haten; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church, New Zion Christian Family Worship Center and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at New Zion Christian Family Worship Center, 5040 Taravella Rd. Marrero, LA on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Restlawn Park Memorial Cemetery-Avondale, LA.
