ONE OF MY FAVORITE CUSTOMERS. SHE WAS AN ELEGANT WOMAN, ALWAYS A SMILE ON HER FACE. ALWAYS ASKING HOW YOU WERE. THOUGH SHE WAS OUT OF SITE I THOUGHT OF HER OFTEN

I know I may not have known Glo very long, but it only took meeting her once to fall in love with her. As crazy as I look, she never looked at me funny or made me feel uncomfortable. She always accepted me and treated me like her own grandchild. Especially by making sure my family and I were ok and of coarse making sure I wasn't hungry. How could anybody go hungry with all the snacks in the pantry? I cherish the memories and time I spent with Glo. I will truly miss her. I love the little notes she would leave when we stayed with her. She was always looking out for everyone else, and so appreciative when you retuned the favor. Glo was one of a kind. I am so grateful, honored and blessed to not only have known her, but to love her and have her in my life. Thank yall for giving me that opportunity and for sharing her with me. ❤

My memories of Glo: How's your Dad? How's your Mom? How's your sister? I saw your grandma at the hair dresser. How's the boys? Always concerned about everyone.

I met Glo, of course, from working at Osyka Seafood. She stole my heart the day she bought me chocolate! She was always very sweet. I enjoyed the night Madison and I spent with her, answering her questions (even though some were repeated, we didn't mind), and keeping her company. She kept her bible close at hand, and when it got quiet, we would find her reading it. She also made sure I stayed fed while I was there, as if she were my own grandparent. I loved that about her. I was looking forward to spending more time with Mrs. Glo, but I am glad that I got the chance to know her when I did!

I loved my Aunt Gloria. I moved to Alabama over 25 years ago , but that did not matter to her. She would call and check on me to see how I was doing. She would ask me about work, if I was happy and always asked after my daddy (her brother Tee). I will never forget the time that she came to visit us here in Alabama. I have a picture of her in a cotton field smiling and laughing. It was a good time and one memory I will always cherish. The one thing that always amazed me was that no matter how much time elapsed between phone calls I always felt loved and cherished at the end of our conversation. She was a very special lady and a great Aunt. I loved her dearly and will miss her.

When I think of my Aunt Gloria, I think of McKenzie's Black Out Cake and Dutch Apple Pie, her green beans and potato salad. I don't ever remember a time when she didn't inquire about what we had to eat or if we wanted something to eat. I am most thankful for the beautiful relationship she and Baby Grace had. They were two kindred spirits since she was little. Grace loved her Uncle Duddy and Aunt Gloria! I have to say I think she became more beautiful the older she got.
