Gloria Hudson Obituary

HUDSON Gloria Brown Hudson, a former Special Education Teacher at O.P. Walker Sr. High and retired Youth Counselor at the Youth Study Center of N.O., LA died on Friday, March 14, 2008 at 10:45PM at her residence. Beloved wife of the late Raymond L. Hudson. Daughter of the late David, Sr., and Dorothy Welch Brown. Sister of Robert and Rev. Chester A., Sr., and Thelma Brown, Denise Tankersley and Tollenta Ovide and the late Dorothea Gilliam, Yvonne Muse, David, Jr., and Kessler Brown. Aunt of Kendall Ferrand, Troy Collins and late Kenneth Edwards. Sister-in-law of Anita, Donna and Louelle Brown, John Tankersley, and Tom Muse. Niece of Jesse Welch Williams. Devoted friend of Trudy Ferrand, Bernadine LaMothe, Melinda Taylor and Kennedy Ferrand. Also survived by 17 nieces and nephews, 10 great nieces and nephews and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends. She was 75. Mrs. Hudson was lifelong of Algiers, LA. Relatives and friends of the family also Officers and Members of Regular Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend Funeral Services on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at 10:00AM at Regular Baptist Church, 901 5th Street, Gretna, LA. Rev. Kenneth Small, officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00AM. Interment in Restlawn Cemetery, Avondale, LA.
