PROSPER Gloria Manuel Prosper departed this life on Sunday, December 12, 2010. Beloved wife of the late Hilton Prosper, Sr. Daughter of the late Lucy and George Manuel, Sr. Beloved mother of Hilton (Lynette) Prosper, Jr. and Rona (Dr. Kevin) Joseph. Sister of Dr. Mary (Dr. John) Penny, Richard (Shirley) and Oscar (Lubertha) Manuel and the late Yvonne, George, Jr., Matthew (Octavia), King, Dennis and Alexander (Willie Mae) Manuel and Clarence Hansley. Sister in law of Jean Robinson, Annis Connor, Deborah Duvall, Sybil Prosper, Walter (Lisa) Prosper, Jr. and the late Gilda Prosper. Also survived by 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Pure Light, New Light and King David Baptist Churches, employees of St. James Parish School System and Sewage, Water Board of NO and residents of St. Anna's Residence are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Pure Light Baptist Church, 3944 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 10:00 am. Visitation will begin at 8:30 am. Interment: Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Arrangements by DW Rhodes, 3933 Washington Ave. Please visit www.rhodesfuneral.com to sign the guest book.
