Gloria Tyler Obituary

Gloria Davis Tyler was born October 24, 1952, New Orleans, Louisiana. She was born to the union of the late John Preston Davis and Ollie Collins Davis. Gloria a native of New Orleans, La. attended the public schools of New Orleans, La. where she graduated from John F. Kennedy High School. Then she attended Southern University at New Orleans receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. She worked for Methodist Hospital of New Orleans, Louisiana. She continued her career by joining East Jefferson General Hospital. On Thursday April 08, 2021, Gloria entered into eternal rest with her father John Preston Davis and mother, Ollie Collins Davis, brother; John Henry Davis, Sr., and brothers-in-law; Eddie Will Tyler and Sandy Whitley. A lifetime of wonderful memories will be cherished by her devoted husband Michael Wayne Tyler. She is survived by her two sisters; Frances Pace Tyler and Ovelena Pace Jupiter, and Brother Harlen Jonathan Davis (Sharon), mother-in-law; Hattie Tyler, cousin; Barbara Dillion, best friends Minister Maple Thompson, and Minister Sharon Rollins and a host of aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Family and friends are invited to attend the Homegoing Service on Friday, April 16, 2021 for 10:00 a.m. at Mount Salem Missionary Baptist Church, 2800 First Street, New Orleans, La. Rev. Michelle Burt Cornely Pastor. Rev. Lupina Thompson officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until service time.
