Gordon Austin Obituary

AUSTIN Gordon W. Austin passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at home with his son by his side. He was the husband of the late Therese Lucas Austin. He was preceded in death by his parents: Mr. & Mrs. Jack Austin. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. He served honorably In the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict. The family would like to thank Notre Dame Hospice for their caring and compassion. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Friday, August 17, 2012 at 12 noon at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home 3827 Canal St. Visitation will be from 10:00 am till service time. Condolences may be expressed at www.schoencanalstreet.com

I worked with Gordon (POP) at Amtrak for quite a few years.He always visited me after he retired at work to share a few stories and a few laughs.Please accept my sincere condolences.
