Gregory Starr Obituary

Gregory Thomas Starr, 61, died peacefully on April 4, 2017 in Metairie, Louisiana. Born July 7, 1955, Greg was a graduate of St. Xavier High School and The University of Dayton. He could light up a room with his contagious laugh and charismatic smile. His outgoing personality and love for people instilled everyone he met with the feeling of being immediately accepted as one of his dear friends. His favorite hobby was fishing; he had an uncanny ability to catch the biggest of fish off the Louisiana coast. His parents, Dr. Clarence Clifford and Sally Starr, preceded him in death. Cherishing his memory, Greg is survived by his children Matthew, John, Molly Hampton (Kyle), and Natalie; his siblings Mary Kuhn (Leo), Jim (Bonnie), Theresa, Mark (Denise), Sally Mudd (David), Juli Wagner (Jim), and Martha Ray (Ken) and many friends on the fishing pier. A Celebration of Life will be held later. Expressions of sympathy: Franciscan Shelter House, S Preston St., Louisville, KY 40203.

Thoughts and prayers to all of the Starr family upon Greg's passing. I have fond memories of younger days and our families gathering on your Dad's houseboat and at Audubon Country Club. I recall your parents speaking often and proudly of Greg's green thumb and assisting with the nursery plants.
May God's blessing be upon you all during this time.
