I will always remember Gustavo Geguiristain. Especially for his stories about his life, which were very interesting. His superstitions were a part of his personality makeup and even though some of his ides were a little far out for me, I always delighted in our debates about them. I can still hear his laughter, which was always infectious. He always made a hit at Cathy;s dinner parties. I am glad I got to have the privlidge of knowing Gus Sr., and will always treasure my fond memories of him. Rest in Peace and walk with God, Gustavo, and look in on us from time to time.

EULOGY The first thing that comes to mind when I think of my grandfather is all the times he would call me Josef because he just liked it and it stuck with me. I will always remember how happy my grandfather used to be to see all his grandchildren and the whole family at special occasions. Around me he would always tell me jokes and stories from Cuba and other things that would make me laugh. Despite all the bizarre things he believed in his love for his whole family and pride for his children and grandchildren overshadowed it all. My grandfather will always be remembered in my heart with that signature proud smile and laugh saying 'Josef....HA HA'

I will always remember Gustavo and the conversations we had during Holidays at his son Gustavo's home where I have often been an invited guest. I always enjoyed talking with Gus Sr. at these events, and hearing about his life in Cuba and his adventures and follies as a young man. He was always there in good cheer and a pleasure to know. He used to flirt with my mother, Lola, at many of these occasions and we would all tease them about it. I know that he is in good company now, and that he has joined my Mom in a heavenly location. From there, they still watch over the rest of us, I am sure. While letting them go is hard on those of us left behind , let us all take comfort in knowing that they are no longer suffering and that they are now in a better place. We will one day meet them there and enjoy the rapture that is now theirs. Rest in peace, Gustavo, till I see you again. Your friend, Eric
