Gwen Broaddus
Harriett Gwendolyn "Gwen" Broaddus, 79, of Milford in Caroline County died Saturday, April 16, 2005, at the home of her brother, William "B.B." Childs of Milford. She was the widow of William A. Broaddus.
Survivors include two sisters, Catherine E. Bates of Woodford and Sylvia Marie Hoggard of Philadelphia; two other brothers, Percy H. Childs Jr. of Woodford and Pedro L. Cabeza of Baltimore; a brother-in-law; a sister-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at St. James Baptist Church, Milford, with the Rev. Donald Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, Bowling Green, and one hour before the service time at the church on Thursday.
