Harold Balmer Obituary

BALMER Harold Clifford Balmer passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2011. He is survived by his two daughters: Elizabeth Balmer Rojas and Carolyn Francis Balmer; and two grandchildren: Francis Elizabeth Rojas and Jeffrey George Rojas. He was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel McGuire Balmer and his father Joseph William Balmer, his brother, Joseph William, Jr. and his sister, Katherine Balmer Graving. He was a graduate of Tulane University and he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked as an insurance salesman and a real estate agent with Grady Harper Realtors. Harry was a member of The New Orleans Country Club, The Pickwick Club, The Stratford Club and several carnival organizations. He enjoyed playing tennis and golf. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchar-train Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery) on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to your favorite charity would be appreciated.
