Harry Kivowitz

KIVOWITZ Harry Kivowitz Draftsman and sang with temple choirs, 88 Harry Kivowitz, 88, died on Sunday, May 27, 2007, in Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2007, in Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin. Arrangements are by the Menorah Chapels at Millburn, 2950 Vaux Hall Road, Union. Born in Waterbury, Conn., Mr. Kivowitz lived in Waterbury, Newark, Union, Maplewood and Livingston before moving to West Orange in 1990. He was a draftsman for Arthur Straubing Associates in South Orange for many years before retiring many years ago. Mr. Kivowitz was a member of the West Orange JCC and sang in various temple choirs in the area. An avid model airplane and boat builder, he had a display of his craft at the Livingston Library. He was the beloved husband of the late Roslyn (nee Bierbaum) and the late Bertha (nee Katz); devoted father of Richard and his wife, Nancy, Jerry and his wife, Lanie; dear stepfather of Faye Koretz and her late husband, Richard, Howard Brisgel and his wife, Susan; brother of Beatrice Amsterdam; loving grandfather of Michael, Scott, Ross and Bonnie; step-grandfather of Jill and Robert, and cherished greatgrandfather of Justin and Rachel.
