On August 14, 2016, at the age of seventy-three, Harry Lee Pittman departed this earthly life to everlasting life. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on November 2, 1942 to the late Harold and LB Pittman. A lifelong resident of the city, he was the owner of Harry's Auto Clinic, was an active member of the historic Zulu Social Aid and Pleasure Club, and was a proud member of the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by his sisters Lula B. Martin and Una V. Pittman. He is survived by his daughter, Blythe Pittman Winger of Atlanta GA, his granddaughter, Abingdon Winger, his sister, Annie B. Rosette, and his brother, Zealous Pittman. Harry will be deeply missed by a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends including Orleans Parish Assessor, Erroll G. Williams and his wife, Cynthia, who Harry called upon to be godparents of his only child. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Harry's life at 2:00pm on Saturday, September 10th at the Zulu Club's Roy Glapion Hall at 732 N. Broad in New Orleans, and a burial service at 10:00am on Monday, September 12 at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Slidell, Louisiana.

Harry Lee and I lived in the same neighborhood and were classmates. He was a great guy. I worked with his sister-in-law for a while before finding out they were relatives. You have my deepest sympathy and I pray God will provide you with comfort and strength in the days to come.
