Harvey Shapiro Obituary

SHAPIRO Harvey Shapiro passed away early Wednesday evening, August 22, 2012 at his residence in Livingston at the age of 64. He was a native of New Orleans, an insurance adjustor with the state of Louisiana and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Cooper Shapiro; 1 son and daughter-in-law, Jacob and Erin Pirrung-Shapiro; step-son, Charles DeDon; 1 sister and brother-in-law, Sydell and Maury Kalnitz; also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father, Nathan Shapiro; mother and step-father, Ella and Eli Vall; brother, Martin Shapiro. A special thanks to Ochsner Medical Center, Promise Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospice. There will be no public viewing or services. Please visit our online registry book at www.sealefuneral.com

My condolences to the Shapiro family. Havey made a uniquely lasting inpression on me from my first day at ORM on. His sense of humor, his dedication, his love for his son, and just being himself made for a great person and someone who is truly missed.
