Haydeé Margarita Dominguez

On May 12, 2023, Haydeé Margarita Dominguez passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at home in Hollywood, FL at the age of 67. She was the loving mother of Ted A. Hebbler and beloved daughter of the late Arturo and Haydeé Dominguez. Born in Havana, Cuba in 1956, Haydeé immigrated to New Orleans, LA with her parents in 1966. Haydeé was a creator with the ability to see the potential in objects others found ordinary. Her lifelong passion for creation manifested in successful cosmetology and real estate investing careers where she expressed her love for design and beauty by transforming spaces around the city. Haydeé was energetic, full of life, and known for her kindness and generosity. To know her was to love her, as many did. Retiring to Hollywood, FL in 2015, Haydeé enjoyed gardening, creating art, and being active in her community. She lived out the remainder of her life doing what she loved, her illness unable to keep her from her passions until the end. Even in her last moments, she was la más fuerte. Haydeé leaves behind family and friends who carry with them the gift of her memory, and the inspiration to leave the world a better place than which they found it. A private celebration of life will be held in New Orleans on Saturday, June 3, 2023. Haydeé's love for animals was a profound part of her identity, those wishing to honor her life can make a donation in her name to the Humane Society of Louisiana.
