To the Feltus family and respective church members,
You have my heartfelt condolences. Mother Feltus once said, "Take what you have and make what you want out of it." Those profound words have been a source of inspiration since I heard them. I thank God for the opportunity to have met Mother Feltus and gleaned life lessons from her ministry. I pray the Holy Spirit will provide comfort and peace to the Feltus family during this time of bereavement.
With love,
Eld. Torrence Edwards, Sr.

My wife Carolyn and I extend our deepest condolences to the family of Mother Feltus. Our every encounter was a learning experience. She was so observant of progress in our lives across the years and was the greatest encouragement. She and Bishop Feltus were wonderful examples to us and for this we give God praise. ... till we meet again!

Our dearest and beautiful pioneer, Mother Hazel Luter Feltus, was a brilliant, faithful, and joyful leader servant in so many ways for so many decades. The National Black Women's Health Project, now known as Black Women's Health Imperative, greatly benefitted from Mother Feltus and Bishop's contributions to REACH 2010 @ The Heart of New Orleans, a CDC funded community health initiative. Supervisor Hazel served as the president of the First Lady's Health Advisory Council, mentoring and supporting First Ladies of churches to sustain their personal and congregational health. She actively supported and advised the staff and participated in the first ever offered sister circles, promoting church women's self-help for optimal health and longevity. Her legacy of anointed and courageous leadership will last forever. We are forever grateful.
