Helen Polinsky Obituary

Helen S. Polinsky

AGE: 94 • North Brunswick

Helen S. (Contorchick) Polinsky died Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at Parker at McCarrick in Somerset. She was 94.

Born in Bakerton, Pennsylvania to Valentine and Catherine (Soloman) Contorchick, she was a longtime resident of North Brunswick who enjoyed summers in Lavallette collecting sea glass and spending time with her family. She was a waitress at the former Green Briar and Carriage House Restaurants in North Brunswick before her retirement.

Mrs. Polinsky was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin R.C. Church in New Brunswick.

Helen was predeceased by her husband Joseph Polinsky; her parents Valentine and Catherine Contorchick; her daughter Joann Vitale; her son in law Orin Orso; and her grandchildren Timothy Vitale and Leigh Orso. Helen is survived by her sisters - Rose Levinski, Josephine Champion, Teresa Silvasy and Alice Parfitt; her daughters - Mary Orso and Elizabeth Polinsky Mirabella and her husband Robert; her son in law Donald Vitale; her nieces and nephew - Andrea Reicks, Anita Vangarud and Donald Vangarud; and three beloved grandchildren - Heather Vitale, Lauren Orso, and Augustus Mirabella.

Private funeral services were under the arrangement of Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Helen's memory to Elijah's Promise in New Brunswick or North Brunswick First Aid and Rescue Squad.
