Condolences to the family of Rev Butler. She was Mrs Wright to me back in 1978 when she was my 5th grade teacher at Sherwood Forest Elementary, one of my favorite teachers I might add. Mrs Wright was a very influential educator, one that left a lasting impression and nothing but great memories of the 5th grade chapter of my life. She not only taught her students the lessons in our school books but she also taught us life lessons like how to love and respect others and how to get along with each other. Black history month was her favorite, teaching us all about the struggles of Martin Luther King and Harriet Tubman, the lyrics of "We Shall Overcome", and assigning us to read books written by Maya Angelou. To the family, I am sorry for your lost but I know she has also left each of you with a lifetime of great memories.
Be blessed

To Rev. Butler's Family:
Sending my sincerest condolences, prayers and love to each of you. Rev. Butler is now resting in the Arms of Jesus Christ and perfectly healed. Our first meeting was in the New Orleans Chapter of the Gospel Music Workshop of America. I remember her quiet and gentle Spirit, as she served on the Evangelistic Board. We were both surprised that we had more in common, when we met at her birthday party, and learned that Louise White (my church member) was her daughter's mother-in-law. Continue Holding to God's Unchanging Hand. Servant of God, Well-done, rest until we meet again.
