I'm sorry I only recently learned of Mr. Henry's passing. Besides working out of town, the Covid years made it difficult to keep track of things back home. He was not only my physics professor, but become a good friend who influenced my life and my thinking on life, God and the universe. I always felt honored when he would ask me my opinion, as we would often talk even years after my college days. I will never forget him for the rest of my life.

remembering FR Deacon Garon in my prayers and at the altar. Trusting he's found rest 'where the light of God's face shines'. His family and loved ones are especially in my prayers these days

Professor Garon was one of my favorite teachers in the Physics department at Loyola. He was a kind gentleman and treated everyone with respect. He and Marie braved a fierce rainstorm to attend a small Physics Class 50th reunion at my home 5 years ago and was warmly greeted by all of us sharing wonderful memories.

God Bless Henry for being himself

I am a former student of Dr. Garon’s Graduate Physics Classes. He volunteered me for lots of demonstrations, which I enjoyed. He also encouraged me to consider an educational TV path, which would have made me a 1st of sorts, especially as a Black Man, just when fundamental science was becoming popular in media. I went on to do other things however with curricula and Environmental Challenges. I’ll always appreciate his no nonsense approach and vast knowledge. He was a great teacher! Thanks ‘Doc!

We are so sorry to hear about Henry’s sudden passing this past week. Michael always spoke very highly of him as a father and teacher which made us feel like we knew him when he was younger.
With much sympathy,
