There is a country song by Kenny Chesney on the radio that I heard the other day called "Don't Blink". It was proper for this moment. Although I have never been so blessed as to actually have personally met Hank; we have spoken many a time on the phone. Through many conversations the one particular distinction I remember was a kind voice. It was almost like I could hear him smile through the phone all these miles away in New York. This, and Susan's kind words in our Christmas card thanking us for wishing this remarkable man well made me feel close. Thank-you Hank for raising such wonderful children and for finding peace for yourself. I can still feel you smiling!

We only met Hank once during a visit to our mother and Kent but we are sure glad we did. He was probably one of the nicest men we've met. Our children thought so as well. Our sympathy goes out to the entire family as we know how hard a death so close is from recent experience. We would like the thank him for having Kent though who has blessed our family.

Love,
Danielle and Raymond

To Susan and the Marcel family,
My aunt, Alice Toca, told us about the lovely card she received from your dad at Christmas and about how sick he was.
I have many fond memories of your dad and mom growing up, the Brownie and Girl Scout Troop, and how your dad was always there to help (as was my dad, the other Hank (Hellmuth). My mom passed away several months ago and I know your memories will be a comfort to you. My sympathy to you all.

My heartfelt and deepest symathies goes out to all of Hanks family and friends. I had the pleasure of knowing Hank through the Oakdale Golden Age Club. He was certainly a fine gentlemen and I had the pleasure of him being my escort in a Golden Age Ball which Hank and I represented Mel Ott Park. He will be sadly missed.

Dear Marcel Family,

We had the pleasure of being neighbors with Mr. Hank. He was an absolutely lovely man.

During the summer he always gave us a bag of tomatoes he grew from his garden. The first two-wheeler our daughter will ever ride was given to her by Mr. Hank; and he even lended a hand when he saw we were repaving our walkway.

My family and I saw you all on the day of Mr. Hank's passing and where deeply touched and moved by your love, dignity and obvious faith in the Lord. Mr. Hank and his wife did a marvelous job in raising such a fine family.

Mr. Hank will be truly missed.

Love,
