Herman Cade Obituary

Herman Cade passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at his home. He was born November 3, 1956, in New Orleans, LA to Herbert Cade Sr. and Doris Lonon Cade, both of whom preceded him in death. A lifelong New Orleans resident and proud Saints fan, Herman grew up with his three siblings: Aloha Cade, Herbert Cade Jr, and Michelle Nero. He graduated from Alcee Fortier High School and later joined the New Orleans Police Department where he served over thirty years. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament St. Joan of Arc, where he volunteered as an usher and was named "Man of the Year" in 2019. Herman was also a member of various social clubs and cherished his many friends. He leaves behind his wife Denise Daniels Cade and his three children: Quivanda Michele Cade, Quiana Cade Sternhagen, Thaddius Laron Cade, and son-in-law Seth Allen Sternhagen. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren: Jaiman Shemar Brown, Alexandria Marie Sternhagen, Amari Michelle Cade, Elijah Seth Sternhagen, and Noah Herman Sternhagen as well as a host of extended family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Blessed Sacrament St. Joan of Arc, 8321 Burthe St, New Orleans, LA 70118, on Friday, February 4, 2022, at 11:00 am. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am.
